Vine House Facilities and Equipment:
Ground Floor:
Sitting Area:
Comfy sofas and armchair seating for 6, coffee table, central heating plus momumental fireplace with wood-burning stove.
Flat screen TV receiving English Freeview channels, dvd player and selection dvds, selection magazines, playing cards and board games. Visitors' book and selection brochures. Bookcase with selection of books.

Dining Area:
Large dining table with seating for 6. Shelf unit with household crockery, glasses and jug, teapot, cafetiere (plunger style), salad bowl.

Kitchen Area:
Dresser with saucepans, frying pan, salad spinner, sieve, mixing bowls, tea-towels, apron and oven gloves, tablecloth and paper napkins. Drawer with cutlery, utensils, knives, cork-screw!. Chopping boards. Butcher's block with shelf storage plus additional wirework shelf unit.
Fridge with freezing compartment, ice cube tray. Additional fridge/freezer in utility area.
Electric kettle, toaster. Electric hand held mixer.
Microwave; hob with 3 gas rings and 1 electric plate, electric fan oven.
Dishwasher (initial supply of dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, bin liners, cleaning spray, washing up liquid).

Ground floor Shower room:
Walk in shower area, wc, basin with mirror, shaver socket, storage unit, hairdrier, initial supply of toilet rolls, bin liner. Utility area with washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, dustpan and brush. Pool towels.

Understairs Area:
Coat hooks, pads for terrace furniture, bar-b-q tools.

First Floor:
The Primrose Room:
Either twin beds or a super-king made up for arrival, bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers with mirror over, dressing table with chair and mirror, fitted wardrobe with hangers, towel stand with bath towels and hand towels, towelling bathrobes. Ample room for 1 or 2 cots. Window with swing curtain overlooking front courtyard (impossible to see in from the outside!), Velux window with black-out blind.

The Peony Room:
King-size bed made up for arrival, bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers with mirror over, dressing table with chair and mirror, fitted wardrobe with hangers, towel stand with bath towels and hand towels, towelling bathrobes. Window with swing curtain overlooking front courtyard (impossible etc), high internal window with curtains  overlooking landing.

The Rose Room:
Either twin beds or a super-king made up for arrival, bedside tables with lamps, large mirror, chest of drawers, dressing table with chair and mirror, fitted wardrobes with hangers, towel stand with bath towels and hand towels, towelling bathrobes. Large window with swing curtains and Juliette balcony overlooking front pillars and lane (impossible etc).

Full size bath with shower attachment over, built in wash basin with cupboard under and large mirror, shaver socket, wc. Pine dresser base with storage, hairdrier, initial supply of toilet rolls and bin liner. Window with swing curtain overlooking front courtyard (impossible etc).

Spacious landing with large Velux window overlooking garden. Full length mirror.

Large terrace with wooden dining table and 6 chairs plus sun shade. Weber charcoal bar-b-q. Trellises with pansies or geraniums according to season. Selection of garden chairs, reclining chairs and sun-loungers on terrace and/or around pool. View of fully alarmed swimming pool, (May to September, weather permitting), meadow and woods.

Available on request with our compliments:
stair gate, 2 toddler steps, 2 cots, 2 high chairs, 1 potty, 1 baby bath, 1 baby listening device

Swimming pool, available for all guests from approx 0900 until 2100 daily (May to September inclusive weather permitting) Unbreakable glasses are provided for use at poolside – no standard glass is permitted.

All users of the pool undertake to deactivate the mandatory pool alarm system prior to entering the pool. The safety of children remains the responsibility of parents. All children must be supervised when using the pool area.  Please ensure that infants and toddlers wear swimming nappies as appropriate.  Please note that use of the pool is at your own risk.

Pets – we regret that no pets are permitted in the house or grounds.

Smoking- to maintain a pleasant environment for all our guests, we respectfully request that you do not smoke indoors.

Dinner is €28 per head for 3 courses plus coffee and is available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings. A buffet supper may be available from 7pm on Sunday evenings at € 20 per head. A menu will be circulated at breakfast time and dinner can be ordered up to 10am . Dinner is served at 8pm in the Dining Room.
We regret that Dinner is not available for Vine House guests under 12 years old but we are happy to provide an earlier children’s meal served in Vine House between 5 and 6pm. A baby listener is provided to enable you to relax over Dinner. It may be possible to serve a meal for parents and chldren in Vine House depending upon the reservations in the Dining Room.

Arrivals – we look forward to welcoming you between 4pm and 7pm. We cannot guarantee that your accommodation will be ready for occupation or that we will be on the premises before 4pm. We request that you vacate your accommodation by 10.30am on the day of departure.

Reservations and DepositsReservations should be confirmed by returning a completed booking form (either by email or by post) and 20% deposit, either by sterling cheque made payable to Wendy Chapman, by euro denomination cheque drawn on a French bank or by bank transfer (account details supplied on booking).


Chambres d'Hôtes:
Payment of the balance of your account is due in euros on the morning of departure. Payments can be made in cash, euro denomination travellers’ cheques or by a French euro bank cheque. We regret that we are unable to accept credit or debit cards.

Vine House:
Payment of the Balance is due in euros or sterling 8 weeks prior to arrival on invoice.
Payment Options:
For sterling payments: by bank transfer to the UK bank detailed on the invoice.
For euro payments: by bank transfer to the French bank detailed on the invoice.

Cancellations: please notify us as soon as possible and confirm in writing.  Cancellation charges are as follows:

Chambres d'Hôtes: Up to 2 weeks prior to arrival = loss of deposit.  Less than 2 weeks prior to arrival = full payment due.

Vine House: After confirmation = loss of deposit. After due date for final payment = loss of rental monies unless we are able to re-let Vine House in which case we will refund the rental monies paid by the subsequent renter up to the amount paid by yourselves. 

In the event that we are obliged to cancel your stay, our liabiity is limited to a full refund of all monies paid up to the date of cancellation.

Insurance – we strongly recommend that you take out adequate holiday insurance to cover you for personal liability incurred with respect to any damage to house, grounds and pool caused by any member of your party as well as to protect you from charges incurred through cancellation.

Disclaimer - We cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any injury, damage or loss to clients or any member of their party or any of their property whilst using Vine House, Le Bignon, grounds, car park or pool.

Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions completing the booking form implies knowledge and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Party Leader the person signing the booking form is deemed to be the Party Leader and is responsible for all members of his/her party adhering to these terms and conditions.
